Uganda Travel and Tourism News: UTODA petitions Museveni over taxi eviction

Ultimate Media

UTODA has petitioned President Museveni seeking his intervention in the proposal to evict them from both old and new taxi parks.

The chairperson of UTODA, Hajj Moses Katongole wants the president to halt the KCCA programme of evicting them.

He says that UTODA is one of the main stakeholders of Kampala and so KCCA should not replace them with buses.

The KCCA director in conjunction with the government last week announced that they were to evict taxis and replace them with buses.

Katongole says that UTODA also still has a binding contract with KCCA which the president should base on to halt the eviction.
