Uganda Travel and Tourism News: Uganda rebranded as Gorilla Country

Ultimate Media

In an effort to attract more tourists to the country, Uganda is to be rebranded as a gorilla country with works already ongoing at Entebbe international airport.

The plans are being spearheaded by the Uganda Wildlife Authority which is part of their 2012 agenda of promoting tourism in the country.

The acting Executive Director Uganda wildlife authority Dr. Andrew Seguya says an agreement with civil aviation authority has been finalized to rebrand the airport with different national park animal artifacts apart from the gorillas.

He says the move is aimed at increasing the revenue generated from tourism, the country’s second highest foreign exchange earner.
