Uganda Travel and Tourism News: Tourism Association to work with MPs
Ultimate Media
The Uganda Tourism Association is enlisting the help of members of parliament in promoting the tourism sector.
The Association’s President Amos Wekesa says they need the efforts of all stakeholders to improve tourism’s potential to add to the foreign exchange it generates.
He says the government is currently not doing enough to promote tourism in Uganda, with the budget for marketing the country very limited compared to regional neighbours.
Wekesa says they have launched the Tourism week in partnership with MPs which they hope will further promote understanding of Uganda’s tourism potential and generate the funding needed to market and promote the tourism sector.
He says Uganda is very gifted with natural attractions and wildlife which if well marketed can improve the country’s foreign exchange and job provision efforts.
