Uganda Travel and Tourism News: Natete drivers strike over dirty taxi park

The taxi drivers and conductors in Natete a Kampala city suburb have this morning staged a demonstration protesting what they call a dirty and dilapidate Taxi Park.

The drivers parked their taxis along the Kampala-Masaka road in front of the taxi park saying that the situation in the park is unbearable.

They say that the rain that rained on Saturday and Sunday has created the park impassable and that the leaders have not minded to clean it.

Besides that, the drivers and conductors say that there is only one toilet in the park used by both men and women.

The Katwe division Police Commander, Apollo Kateeba says that indeed the situation in the park is unbearable adding that he has asked the Natete park administrators to solve the problem.
