Uganda Travel and Tourism News: KCCA asked to repair taxi parks

Uganda Taxi Operators and Drivers Association (UTODA) has asked the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) to repair the two main taxi parks in Kampala.
The UTODA chairman, Musa Katongole says that as leaders they are facing pressure from the drivers who are their main customers when complaining that the two main taxi parks including New Taxi Park and Old Taxi Park are in a sorry situation.
Katongole says that during the rain season the vehicles get stuck in the mud and passengers find it hard to reach their respective taxis.
He says the drivers complain that they do not see the value for the money they pay to UTODA which money Katongole says the UTODA remits to KCCA.
In a related development, the traders who have businesses on Nabukera House near the bus park are also asking KCCA to repair the road along Nakibubo Channel. Traders say that since the rain season started a number of months ago, their customers have reduced because of the impassable road.
