Uganda Sports News: Ugandans to take on Kenyans in Chess

National Chess Champion Arthur Ssegwanyi will lead four other national team Chess players for a warm up game against their Kenyan counterparts in Nairobi this weekend.
Harold Wanyama, Bob Bibasa and Haruna Nsubuga, complete the squad that will be led by Uganda Chess Federation Secretary Christopher Turyahabwe who will also double as the team’s captain.
The side departs for Nairobi this Friday for the two day event where they are likely to battle it out with Nairobi Chess Club.
Mehul Gohil, Ben Magana, Hinga Githinji and Peter Gilruth will be among the elite Chess players the Ugandan contingent is likely to face.
The trip is fully sponsored by Nairobi Chess Club and it is expected to become an annual event in the near future.
