Uganda Sports News: Uganda prepares for Cricket Council Twenty 20 World Cup Qualifier

National cricket players Hamzah Saleh and Fred Isabirye have been dropped by head coach Martin Suji as he trimmed his squad to 18 players.

The team is preparing for the International Cricket Council Twenty 20 World Cup Qualifiers, which will take place in Dubai UAE from March 13-24.

The list was released by the Uganda Cricket Association secretariat saying that the technical team didn’t think the duo will be needed as the African Champions try to qualify for the Sri Lanka final.

Abdullah Lubega, Ivan Thawithemwira and Martin Ondeko are the other absentees from the squad which will be trimmed to 14 as the qualifiers draw near.

Arthur Kyobe, Davis Karashani, Ssemanda Ronald, Brain Masaba, Charles Waiswa, Benjamin Musoke, Daniel Ruyange, Arthur Ziraba, Faruk Ochimi, Deusdedit Muhumuza, Jonathan Sebanja, Asadu Seiga, Henry Senyondo, Raymond Otim,  Arnold Otwani, Laurence Sematimba, Frank Nsubuga, Roger Mukasa are currently undergoing intensive training.
