Uganda Sports News: Parliament honours its football team

The Parliamentary Football team has been honored this afternoon by Parliament following their good performance at the East African Inter Parliamentary tournament in Burundi.

The team beat Burundi in the finals to clinch the trophy.

Aruu County MP, who doubles as the team captain, Odonga Otto moved a motion to honor the team and present the trophy to the House.

Otto's motion was seconded by Mukono Municipality MP, Betty Nambooze.

 Several MPs lauded the team for its performance and urged Parliament to continue to support them financially and morally.
