Uganda Sports News: More misery for Kavuma Kabenge, Jimmy Ssegawa

Beleaguered Super League chairman Kavuma Kabenge and Chief executive officer Jimmy Ssegawa might be headed for tougher times as more clubs withdraw their support.

Ten Uganda Super League clubs have written to the Federation of Uganda Football Association to backtrack their backing of the banned duo.

Simba, URA, KCC, Bidco, Maroons, Bunamwaya and Water among others wrote saying that they have decided to withdraw from activities organized by the two officials.

The Chief Executive Officer Edgar Watson says that this is positive development that will help ease the tensions between FUFA and the USL.

He says a meeting will be held with the clubs o Thursday to discuss the way forward.

Three of the clubs also made changes to their management with Maroons, Police FC and Simba the main clubs to replace their representatives at Uganda super league.

Meanwhile, USL is not wavering and have scheduled games for Friday at different venues.

FUFA suspended the league over failure to comply with various regulations including sticking with a chairman and executive officer who were suspended from the national football activities.

Kavuma Kabenge and Jimmy Ssegawa were suspebded by FUFA after the two officers after they failed to appear before the FUFA disciplinary committee on several occasions.
