Uganda Sports News: Government appeals to FUFA and USL over league

The ministry of education and sports has asked the warring parties of Fufa and Uganda super league to allow the league to continue as they resolve their issues.

This comes after the two parties met officials from the Ministry of Education and sports who included Minister Charles Bakkabulindi and mediator Lt General Katumba Wamala to resolve the impasse that has rocked the two bodies for a while now.

State minister of Sports Charles Bakkabulindi says he recommended that some contentious issues like Hoima being reinstated in the league and also Proline and Bunamwaya football clubs which were last week removed for failure to honor games.

The minister also directed that games played with non-licensed referees should be rescheduled because the games where no valid and Fufa to deal with the league manager as they continue to deliberate on the ban on USL chief Kavuma Kabenge and Jimmy Ssegawa.

USL chairman Kavuma Kabenge agreed that they are going to contact Busia/ Hoima FC and agree on how the games will be played to enable them catch up.
