The Federation of Uganda Football Associations FUFA has disregarded calls by a section of football critics for some of its top executive members to resign.
This follows calls by Save our Soccer, an organization headed by Aldrine Nsubuga and Dennis Mbidde yesterday for the resignation of FUFA President, Lawrence Mulindwa, CEO Edgar Watson and head of legal committee, Muhammadi Bazirengedde over alleged fraud and forgery arising from altering the constitution without approval of the general assembly.
The Public Relations Officer of FUFA, Rogers Mulindwa dismissed the claims as baseless and
accused the group of targeting to tarnish the name of FUFA and its top officials.
Mulindwa explained that the constitution was amended and approved by delegates during the general assembly in 2010.
He says Nsubuga and Mbidde are not delegates and have no moral authority to undermine the assembly’s decisions.
