he Ugandan national female team the crested cranes says they are ready to beat their counterparts from the democratic republic of Congo, as the two sides struggle to qualify for the Africa women’s championship due in October this year.
The first leg of the qualifiers will be played on Saturday at nakivubo stadium, with the Ugandan side prepared to take on the visitors.
The crested cranes captain Christine Wanyama says they have what it takes to beat DRC, though the Crested Crane team has many new players.
Wanyama is backed by her coach Majidah Nantanda, who said the team shall play as a unit and hopes the new players will not fear the crowd
The DRC team is training at wankulukuku stadium, since their arrival on Tuesday this week.
The return leg is to be played from 27th to 29th January in DR Congo.
