Uganda Sports News: Abdallah Mubiru takes over as Proline FC Coach

Proline Football Club has today unveiled Abdallah Mubiru as the new Head Coach for the Bell Super league side.

Mubiru replaces Mujib Kasule, who stepped down last week to concentrate on his new post as FUFA Vice President in charge of the Uganda Super League.

Mujib, a founding Director at Proline Soccer Academy announced that Mubiru takes charge with immediate effect. Kasule says Mubiru has been given a probational contract of 6 months with an option of prolonging it to 2 years.

Mubiru’s immediate tasks, according to Mujib, are to “maintain the culture and style of play at Proline Football Club and Proline Soccer Academy plus improving the players’ standards to professional levels.

To help him achieve this, Mubiru’s has been given three backroom staff consisting of Bisaso Shafiq, Frank Mugerwa and Dhaira Bright.

Mubiru and his team will directly report to Mujib, who still head the management committee at the academy.

The financial terms of the contract have not been disclosed in respect to both parties, according to Mujib.

Mubiru’s coaching journey has seen him handle Military FC, KCC FC and Kibuli Secondary School.

He is also the current U-20 National Team Assistant Coach.
