Uganda People News: Sugarcane eating makes MP Nsereko more popular

In what looks like a ploy to gain more popularity among the low income earners in Kampala, the MP for Kampala Central division, Hajji Mohammed Nsereko shocked city dwellers when he sat in St. Balikudembe market and ate a sugarcane.

He sat among very dirty market vendors and started eating sugarcane while telling them what is going on in parliament.

Many politicians buy sugarcanes for their supporters during campaigns when they fail to get other forms of refreshments for the voters, but none has sat in public to consume the sugarcane.

The vendors in the market hailed Nsereko that among the politicians they have elected it is only Nsereko who has returned to share with them a few things.
