Passengers on different routes in the country have been asked to avoid putting drivers on pressure while they are travelling.

The Chairman of Uganda Bus Driver Allied Association, Hanington Kiwanuka told journalists that sometimes road accidents are caused by the passengers who force the drivers to over-speed in order to reach in their destinations early.

Kiwanuka challenges the passengers to be patient with the drivers so the vehicles can go slow but sure and everyone reaches their destinations safely.

Kiwanuka has also asked the drivers not to drive hastily in order to make many routes. He warns the drivers that they may rush for money forgetting that they may lose their lives and that of their passengers in the process.
