Uganda People News: Date set for hearing Buganda riots case

The High court has set the 27th of this month to start hearing the case against 25 people facing terrorism charges, arising from the Buganda riots.
The riots erupted in September 2009, after government blocked the Kabaka of Buganda from visiting Kayunga.
The suspects who have spent the last 28 months in Luzira Prison are expected to appear before the high court judge OwinyDollo.
They are accused of burning Nateete Police Station, cars and motorcycles which were parked at the station.
