Uganda People News: Americans donate food to Uganda hospitals

Members of the united church of Christ have donated consignment of food to malnourished children in Karamoja, Namutumba, Bundibujo, Mulago and Lira Hospital.
The food donation to the Uganda government measures (fifty five thousand kilograms) 55,000 kilograms and was donated by Elder Karl Beckel and sister Robin Beckle of the church of Christ of later day saints with its branch in kololo Kampala.
According to a statement from the organisation, the food that is made in form of porridge is fortified with a variety of ingredients where malnourished children recover three days after they start feeding on the food.
State Minister in charge of relief and disaster preparedness Musa Echweru who received the food of behalf of the government says part of the food will also be distributed to malnourished Adults only with special cases mainly in health centers that give ARVs to HIV patients across the country.
