Uganda People News: 10 held over grazing in city

At least 10 people have been arrested by the police and Kampala Capital City Authority staff for grazing cows in different parts of the city.
Moses Kasasira, John Gumisiriza, his brother Robert Gumisiriziza and Ronald Kwesiga among others are detained at Katwe police.
The statement from KCCA indicates that keeping animals in the city contravenes section 6 and 33 of the KCCA livestock ordinance.
The Executive Director of KCCA, Jenifer Musisi says that KCCA will continue impounding animals loitering in the city and arresting their owners or caretakers.
She says apart from dirtening the city and incoveniencing city dwellers, the animals can cause transmit some diseases in a crowded area like Kampala.
