The Mengo government (Buganda Kingdom) has expressed anger with the recent statements uttered by the Presidential Advisor Kintu Musoke in Kalungu district.
Recently, Kintu Musoke is reported to have told the authorities in Kalungu district that the Kabaka has no powers to stop them from building the district headquarters in any place of their wish in the district.
Kintu Musoke is also alleged to have mentioned that the Kingdom has no land in Kalungu it has power over.
Kintu Musoke’s utterances followed the district authorities’ statement that they would first seek for the Kabaka’s permission to build the headquarters in the proposed place.
The Buddu County (great Masaka district) chief, Hajj Bbuulu Katale now says that Musoke’s utterances were an abuse to Buganda kingdom and the Kabaka.
Hajj Bbuulu Katale says the land in question belongs to the Kabaka adding that the likes of Musoke who feed President Museveni with wrong information are the causers of misunderstandings between the central government and Mengo government.
Hajj Bbuulu Katale has reiterated that the Kingdom of Buganda will continue guarding its land and boundaries asking the people of Kalungu district and Buddu County at large to ignore the likes of Kintu Musoke.
