The Minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Heritage, Ephraim Kamuntu has urged the Buganda Kingdom to redevelop its cultural sites to increase its income base.

In a meeting with the delegation from the Mengo government, Kamuntu said that the cultural sites are not only a source of income but also broadens the image of the country world over.

The minister promised support to the reconstruction of the Kasuubi Tombs which were destroyed by fire early 2009.

Kamuntu has asked the Kingdom to desist from supporting the protestors saying that protests scare away the tourists who are potential customers of the cultural sites.

He says that if there is a matter of interest in the Kingdom, the leaders should always work with the central government to handle it amicably.
