Uganda Heritage News: Buganda Kingdom asks clans to make courts

Buganda Kingdom authorities have asked the clans in Buganda to form courts to handle minor cases before they are taken to government courts.
The Buganda Kingdom Second Prime Minister, Muhammad Sekimpi who was speaking at a meeting organized by the Nyange clan said that there are some cases that can be handled by the clans before taking them to other courts.
Sekimpi says that before the introduction of government courts clans used to have their own court and cases were handled satisfactorily.
Meanwhile, Sekimpi has warned clan leaders against imposing their leadership to the people.
He says that for good leadership, any leader must be accepted by the people he/she is leading.
