Sembabule district authorities have recorded an acute scarcity of health workers in health centers across the district.

The Sembabule district Chairman LC5, Eli Muhumuza says that the district has only 40 percent of the required health workers.

He notes that the whole district is bases on two surgeons one at Sembabule hospital and another at Ntusi health center III.

Muhumuza further notes that most health centers in the district have few staff quarters making the health centers less admired by the qualified health workers.

Muhumuza now asks the ministry of health to send more health workers to the district and construct staff quarters at health centers.
