Uganda Health News: Ntoroko health facilities in alarming situation

Leaders have expressed concern at the alarming conditions of health facilities in Ntoroko district.
The district woman MP Jennifer k Mujungu says medical personnel’s are lacking and health workers often neglect patients who come to the health center, which leaves many people’s health needs unmet.
Mujungu said this while officiating as a guest of honor at a conference held yesterday on the roles of citizen in the development of the district organized by Ntoroko concern citizen group.
She says that pregnant mothers and patients are depending on the grace of God as the district does not have experts, with the few health assistants available not easy to find at health centers.
She also cited other challenges affecting the newly created district of Ntoroko, naming lack of accountability, no value for money in the district, shoddy works, wrong full appointments of committee members at the district and increased nepotism at the district.
Mujungu says these ills are firher affecting the development of the district.
