Uganda Health News: Kamuli reports shortage of health workers

Local leaders in Kamuli have attributed the poor health service in the district to lack of adequate health workers.

According to the Sub-Country chairman of Wankole sub county, George Wankona, most of the health units in the district have inadequate health workers.

He says many health centers are overwhelmed by the huge numbers of people seeking health services.

Wankona says though government has been notified about this, there has not been any positive response.

He says the presence of few health workers has not helped matters either as sometimes those who turn up at health centers are not properly cared for.
