Radiotherapy is the use of radiation in treating cancer related diseases.
The new therapy treatment dubbed 3Ds expected to be introduced soon is to protect patients from advanced damage of their body organisms while using radiotherapy.
The department head Dr. Joseph Kigula Mugamba says the new form of treatment is to ensure that while patients receive good radiation doses neighboring tissues are not destroyed.
Dr Mugamba says that the current form of ration treatment has been destroying some body tissues thus causing side effects to patients like vomiting and diarrhea.
