Uganda Government News: Cabinet urged to popularise government programs

President Yoweri Museveni has appealed to members of his cabinet to explain government programs and activities to people as often as possible.

 Museveni says ministers should be the lead agents in communicating government programs to other leaders and the general public.

He says ministers can use the largely available mass media to explain these pertinent issues to the public because the citizens as one way of government accountability and informing people of what the government is planning.

The President says ministers can also utilise their colleagues the Members of Parliament who can explain the programs and activities of government to their different constituencies if the legislators are equipped with the relevant information
