Uganda Entertainment News: Government to promote ICTs in education

The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology has revealed plans to help schools and teachers adopt ICTs in teaching and learning processes.

The Minister of State for ICT, Nyombi Tembo says the ministry is planning to work with interested schools and teachers to popularise the use of new communication technologies in teaching and learning.

He says the ministry will help equip some schools with computers and necessary software to enable them take full advantage of ICTs.

Nyombi says the ministry is also planning to hold trainings for teachers to improve their skills in information and communication technologies.
