Uganda Education News: Makerere to host cloud computing lecturer

The College of Computing and Information Sciences at Makerere University is set to host the Carnegie Mellon University in Rwanda for a public lecture and information session.
According to a statement from Makerere’s CCIS, the lecture will be delivered by CMU-R Prof. Michel Bézyon Cloud Computing.
The abstract of the presentation notes that a cloud computing is bringing hope for the next generation of African innovators and unleashing their creativity.
It notes that the integration of mobile, broadband internet and cloud computing is opening new opportunities for small and medium scale enterprises to improve their pracrices and business in general.
The Statement signed by Michael Niyitegeka the head of Corporate Relations at the CCIS says the lecturer will take place on Friday February 3rd 2012 starting at 10am.
