Uganda Business News: Public warned against increasing ATM fraud

People who use bank ATM (automated teller machine) cards need to take extra caution to save their money from increasing ATM fraudsters.

This follows increasing cases of people losing their money to people who withdraw their accounts dry.

Philip Odera, the Managing Director of Stanbic Bank Uganda says some people  have scheming gadgets that record your PIN and other information when you are at an ATM.

He says they also have a card reader that gets your details on your card. Odera says they make cards identical to yours and withdraw your money...

He is appealing to bank customers to change their PIN number as frequently as possible and shield with your hand when you enter the PIN at an ATM.

Odera also says it is vital to memorise your PIN never write it down.
