Uganda Business News: Pioneer Bus Company insists they have a valid contract

Pioneer Easy Bus Company Limited has maintained that they have a valid contract with Kampala City Council.
The officials, led by the executive director Fred Sennoga, appeared before Parliament’s committee on public service and local government to defend their contract.
They were summoned to shed more light on the contract they signed with KCC for operations of bus services within the city starting March this year.
Yesterday, KCCA Executive Director, Jeniffer Musisi bowed to demands by legislators to review the bus contract after MPs discovered that it has expired last year.
Despite being warned against beginning operations, the company’s has insisted it is set to roll out its operations come the 1st of March.
Senoga told MPs that they believe they have a valid contract because they have not been told that there was any bleabreachch by the KCCA.
He says they will soon be notifying the authority about their roll out of operations.
