Uganda Business News: Nyangak hydro-power dam to be completed soon

The State Minister for Energy, Simon Ojanga has revealed that the construction of Nyangak hydro-electric power Dam will be finished by the end of this year.

The construction work of the 3.5 megawatts Nyangak hydropower project was commissioned by President Museveni in 2006 and was expected to be completed within one year but nothing much has been done at the site.

Though the minister says that the work will be done perfectly, the people of west Nile region where the dam is expected to supply have expressed fear about the quality of work  since the work is going to be done in a rush.
