The parliamentary committee on public service and local government together with the pioneer easy bus bosses have agreed that they will not open pioneer easy bus services next month as was earlier communicated until all the issues concerning this bus project are ironed out.

Issues to be settled include renewing their contract, sensitizing the public about the operations of the busses, inspection of buses and licensing among others.

The decision not to start operating on 1st march was reached after an appeal from the committee to hold their operations until some the issues have been settled.

The company also agreed that pioneer easy bus meets the committee  together with all stake holders on Friday and have all these issues settled.

Responding to the petition by the people of Mukono and Wakiso demanding for transparency in their services pioneer easy bus executive director Fred Senoga said that they will not extend their services to Mukono and wakiso.

He says the buses brought in the first phase are not enough. Ssenoga says their services will be extended to Wakiso and Mukono districts in phase two of the project.
