KFM radio, one of the outlets of the Nation Media Group has officially rebranded today as it seeks to retain more prominence in an increasingly congested and competitive radio market.
The radio station today unveiled its new look, with a host of new presenters lined up in a whole new, revamped programming.
Several advertisers attended the breakfast meeting at Sheraton Hotel Kampala where the Managing Director of Monitor Publications, Alex Asiimwe said the new look and face of KFM was meant to revamp to become the number one radio station, not only in Kampala, but the country as well.
Asiimwe further unveiled Roger Mugisha, one of the co hosts of D Mighty breakfast show, who had tendered in his resignation yesterday.
Mugisha yesterday resigned following reports that MPs had been given 103 million shillings to purchase vehicles.
The presenter said it was wasteful expenditure yet the economy was not doing well, as well as other sectors of the economy.
Asiimwe says new presenters are aimed at giving the radio station a new and competitive edge over the other stations on the market.
In the new programmes, Roger Mugisha will be joined by Monitor Publications Investigative journalist, Chris Obore and Veronica Tindichebwa for D Mighty Breakfast show from 5 to 9 a.m.
This will be followed by the K-Connect show, hosted by Phyllis from 9 to 12 p.m.
The Hook, a show hosted by Freddie Sakura will run from 12 p.m to 4 p.m while the K-Drive, by David Wodmal and Jackie Namataka will run between 4 p.m to 7 p.m.
The Hot Seat remains intact from 7 to 8 p.m, followed by K-Zone with Spacey Katusiime from 8 p.m to mid night.
