Uganda Arts News: Sylvia Owori to celebrate 10 years in fashion on December 6
Sylvia Owori has today stormed Ultimate Media head offices in Kampala and told the media house’s editor, Walakira Nyanzi that she will celebrate 10 years in fashion on December 6th, 2009.
She has also invited the Chief Executive Director of Ultimate Media, Mr. Gerald Businge and all the workers of Ultimate Media to celebrate with her at Serena Hotel in Kampala on December 6.
Owori says she is planning a mega fashion show and a beauty pageant.
She says Uganda’s famous music heavyweights, Dr. Jose Chameleon, Bobi Wine, Bebe Cool, Mozey Radio and Weasel TV will be available to entertain guests and fans.
Owori says she joined fashion business in 1999 when it was a taboo for women to put on mini skirts, G. strings and other clothes that exposes the beauty of a woman.
The designer however says her brand is identified with the dignity of an African woman. Sylvia Owori is pregnant but is promising lots of fun to her guests and fans.
