Boxing: Mugerwa joins paid ranks in USA
Super Bantam weight boxer Atanus Mugerwa has landed a two year deal with TKO enterprise of Las Vegas in United States of America.
Super Bantam weight boxer Atanus Mugerwa has landed a two year deal with TKO enterprise of Las Vegas in United States of America. The 22 year old has been serving an indefinite suspension by the Uganda Amateur Boxing Federation for Indiscipline and failing to keep his weight.
Mugerwa put the pen to paper last week and in some of the highlights in the contract, he is to get 66% of earning for every fight and the promotion team takes the remaining. Accompanied by his agent Edward Ssemanda, Mugerwa couldn't hide his excitement for the deal.
"This has been my dream for along period. I want to showcase my skills in my professional career and win medals for Uganda," noted the temperamental talented pugilist. He is set to leave for his new club mid this year.
