Full Name: Hadijah N Mukasa

Nick name:Hadie

Date of Birth: 2nd July

Location: Kampala Uganda

Heritage:
Born and bred in Kampala, I come from a typical African family (meaning a very big family and have quite a number of siblings). I am what is referred to as mixed because of my parents. Dad (RIP) was from the Baganda tribe and mum from the Banyankole. Important to note is that children here always belong to their Father's tribes and religion, therefore I am a Muganda and a Moslem. I am from the Butiiko clan (mushroom) and our role in the king's palace was entertainment (there are 52 clans and each of them has a role in the king's palace). We have a famous dance called amagunju. My ancestral homeland is Wobulenzi, a few miles along the Kampala Gulu highway.

Other Personal Background:
Well… well I am shy the first time I meet people and laid back. Other people say I am talkative, proud, funny, stubborn et all. Independent, hardworking, principled, live up to my word (that best describes me), a very good timekeeper and I hate liars. I like reaching out to others and I offer help where I can. I cannot stand arrogant people and I also hate people with low self-esteem and, worst of all, laziness.

Occupation: IT Supervisor

Education/Career Background and History:
I went through formal nursery and primary school. I was in Nabisunsa Girls' school for my Ordinary level then Mengo Senior School and Central College respectively for my Advanced Level. I joined Gourmet Institute for my Diploma in Tourism Management (wasn't really my area of interest but had no choice at the time) and later on went to Center for City and Guilds on Kyagwe road for my IT training.

I love hanging with ma bros(so tight with them lol).

Where do you see yourself in five years?
Five years from now I will be a social worker (education esp. adult) because right now I am enrolling for the course. It's something that I have always wanted to do. I know I will have a more settled mind then. Apart from that I see myself running several business that I have started on right now and others still on paper (need some help somewhere).

Anything else you want to talk about:
A big thank you to everyone who has helped me get to where I am. All friends and family along the way, it has been tough but I always say when the going gets tough, the tough get going. I cannot mention names because it might take the whole day (…lol)

And to UGPulse administration and Emboozi members… big ups people. I can only say keep on keeping on! Step by step one walks far…
