Nyaka "will be all right!"

In a world where poverty is increasingly viewed as a lifestyle, many organisations and individuals define this as an injustice caused by a capitalist society. However, even worse, child poverty has increased due to the number of children orphaned through HIV/AIDS. The disease has claimed many lives across Africa and Uganda is certainly not an exception.
The Nyaka Eire! Concert has been established to help highlight issues affecting orphans in Uganda. The concert is a UGPulse.com event to help support the Nyaka AIDS Foundation in raising funds for a most worthy children charity that is struggling to source day to day funding for their good cause; Nyaka School of Orphans.
On 12th January 2008 Kampala, Uganda will come to a standstill when she hosts the initiation of what is to become the mother of all charity concerts in the years to come; the Nyaka Eire! Concert. This will be the largest concert Uganda has ever seen and will ultimately be bringing together East African artists living in East Africa and in the Diaspora to unite towards a common goal of uplifting East African children orphaned through HIV/AIDS. All proceeds raised in the concert will go towards giving basic health care, tuition, School Uniform and facilities, clean water, food/nutrition and education to children of Nyaka School of orphans.
Headlining this year's concert will be none other than internationally acclaimed multi-award winning Jamaican gospel artist - Kay Morris and international, Ugandan artist Herbert Kinobe & Soul Beat Africa. Also at the event will be Uganda's home grown musicians Sandra Karigirwa, Sarah Ndagire and Ngoni from Goodenuff Productions. This year's initiation of the Nyaka Eire! Concerts will be hosted by UGPulse's team Ugandan Australian sensation Mirembe Campbell and Ugandan Russian-Canadian author and artist Jane Nteyafas Musoke. The event will be co hosted by current title holder of Miss East Africa UK, Maureen Nyakaira, and WBS TV Presenter Jacqueline Matovu.
