Uganda Sports News: Ugandans for draught games in Gambia

At least 20 Ugandan Draught star players will represent the Pearl of Africa in the African Draughts Championships in Gambia.
The competition will take place from July 12th to 25th July 2009. The team captain Frank Zziwa says Ugandan Draught Stars are ready for the tournament because they have been undergoing serious training at Kampala Club.
Zziwa says after the competition, nine Draught top players will be selected to represent Africa at the World Draught Championships in Brazil.
He was speaking in an interview with Ultimate Media at Lugogo, Kampala. Zziwa says this world event will run from October to November this year after the Gambia event.
Last year, Zziwa and his team represented Uganda at the Draught event in Beijing, China and finished in the 41st position.
Zziwa says he is confident Ugandans will come back from Gambia with medals this time.
