The Minister of Health, Stephen Malinga has threatened to sack health workers in the government aided health centers and hospitals who steal drugs.
He says the government will have no mercy to people who mismanage public drugs.
Malinga was today addressing journalists at the Parliamentary gardens in Kampala.
He says the Ministry of Health does not want to read in the press about the government aided health centers and hospitals without drugs.
Malinga says the Ministry of Health sends enough drugs to all regions of Uganda.
The Minister also threatens to cause arrest of all the operators of pharmacies in Uganda who buy the drugs the government sends to its health centres and hospitals.
