As the excitement for the world soccer game keeps on growing daily in different parts of the world, large numbers of prostitutes from several African countries are allegedly entering South Africa in preparation for World Cup.
Beautiful girls from Uganda, Rwanda, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Botswana among other African countries are flocking to South Africa daily.
They want to reap from the billions of United States dollars that will go to South Africa during the world soccer tournament.
Researchers have discovered that human trafficking of good-looking women and gorgeous girls with soft bodies’ from East and Central Africa into South Africa for sex trade has increased seven months to the start of the world’s most prestigious game.
Prof. Merab Kambamu Kiremire, one of the African researchers from Zambia has conducted a special study on the growth of sex trade in South Africa in relation to world cup.
In her report titled: 'On the blocks: Human Trafficking for prostitution for the Soccer World Cup 2010', Kiremire says cross-border criminal gangs are helping young girls to enter South Africa in preparation for the expected sex-tourism boom during the World Cup tournament.
In Uganda, there are increased reports of beautiful young girls and women seeking visas to go to South Africa. The same reports are in Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
It has become a common habit for African girls to engage in sex trade whenever there is a big event.
In Uganda in 2007, when the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting took place in Kampala, a number of prostitutes from other African states sneaked into Uganda to have sex with rich men from Europe.
Close to a million people from around the globe are expected in South Africa for the 2010 Soccer World Cup from June to July 2010.
