Police have today announced a reduction in child and adult sacrifice cases in different parts of the country.
The Head of the Child and Family Protection Unit in Police, Florence Kirabira says they have registered a slight decrease in the number of ritual murder cases since January 2009.
She says the statistics from the Police’s Anti Human Sacrifice and Trafficking Task Force show that 11 adults and 15 children were killed in ritual murder fromJanuary 2009 to October 2009.
The statistics show that from January 2009 to October 2009 police have registered 253 adults and 862 children were reported as missing.
Kirabira says ritual murder cases have reduced due police's efforts to hunt down ritual murder suspects and bring them to book.
She says Police since January 2009 have arrested about 112 ritual murder suspects and about 40 have been produced to court.
