The management of Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium has failed to mobilize 315 million shillings to clear water and electricity bills.
UMEME and National Water and Sewerage Corporation disconnected the stadium last week over accumulated water and power bills.
The Public Relations Officer of Nakivubo Stadium, Fred Kateregga urges all Ugandans with money to rescue the stadium management.
He says the stadium will on Friday host Eid Adhuha and on December 5th host the U-20 women World Cup qualifier between Uganda and Zambia but it has not got the money to restore water and power bills.
Meanwhile, the chairperson of Kampala Central Division, Godfrey Nyakaana has challenged Nakivubo Stadium to show accountability for the millions of money they collect every month from car parking yards, washing bays, shops, gospel crusades and commercial toilets.
Nyakaana blames the financial crisis the stadium currently faces to poor management of some of the stadium managers.
