The Secretary General of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), Amama Mbabazi has said NRM has build over 800 hospitals and health centers since 1986, the year the ruling government came to power.

He says out of about 800 hospitals and health centers, over 100 are located in the central region. Mbabazi was addressing journalists at NRM head offices in Kampala.

The Secretary General also says that the government has improved on sanitation and hygiene in hospitals and health centres.

He says the government is currently working on medical workers who sale public drugs to private clinics and pharmacies. Mbabazi urges all Ugandans to report medical staff who mismanage public drugs.
