President Museveni has today left for Tanzania to attend the 11th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the East African Community (EAC).

The summit will open on Friday November 20th. During the conference the 10th anniversary of observance and the signing of the Protocol establishing the East African Community Common Market will take place.

The presidents of the EAC states of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi are all expected to sign on the protocol.

President Museveni was seen off at Entebbe International Airport the Deputy Commander of the Defence Forces, Lt. Gen. Ivan Koreta, the Deputy Commissioner General of Prisons, David Nsalasaata, the Head of Civil Service, John Mitala and the Mayor of Entebbe Municipality, Steven Kabuye among others.
