The Minister of Uganda for Karamoja region, Janet Museveni has preached abstinence to students of Kampala International University (KIU).

Janet, who is also the wife to the President of Uganda Yoweri Museveni says the most effective method of controlling the spread of HIV/Aids is by abstaining from pre-marital sex.

The First Lady says another effective method of curbing the spread of HIV/Aids is promoting faithfulness among partners. She says extra marital sex kills.

The Minister for Karamoja reminds the students and all Ugandans at large that Aids still has no cure.

Janet further advises the students to go for HIV/Aids testing as one of the measures to save lives.

She also calls upon the students to join the global fight against the spread of HIV/Aids by abstaining from sex.

She also advises the students to concentrate more on their studies if they want a bright future.
