Uganda People News: Museveni hails Addis Ababa meeting

President Museveni has returned from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where he went on Monday to attend a meeting on Climate Change.
The meeting was attended by nine other African heads of state including President Mwai Kibaki of Kenya and Meles Zenawi, the Prime Minister of Ethiopia.
President Museveni and his colleagues in the meeting agreed to ask for compensation from industrialized countries during the global meeting on climate change in Copenhagen in December 2009.
According to a press statement sent to media houses in Kampala, the meeting agreed to make sure that global warming doesn’t exceed two degrees centigrade.
While addressing a press conference in Addis Ababa, Zenawi said they want to make sure that green house emissions that destroy the ozone layer be controlled and reduced.
