The government of the United States of America has donated 500,000 US dollars (approximately 950 million shillings) to Uganda Cancer Institute, Mulago.
The government of United States of America has donated the money to Mulago Hospital to build a new cancer clinic.
The US government donated the money to Uganda Cancer Institute Mulago through the United States Agency for International Development.
The Director of Uganda Cancer Institute, Dr Jackson Orem received the money on behalf of the Institute.
Orem says the new cancer clinic to be built will improve on the service delivery of the institute.
The Doctor also says the Ministry of Health in Uganda has pledged to renovate the existing buildings of the institute.
