Uganda Business News: KACITA to influence business in East Africa

The chairperson of Kampala City Traders Association (KACITA), Everest Kayondo has said KACITA targets to influence business in East and Central Africa.
Kayondo says KACITA has gained a reputation for demanding fair trade terms for the business community in Kampala and Uganda at large.
Addressing journalists today in Kampala, Kayondo said KACITA had been successful in securing loans for traders, negotiating fair licence fees from Kampala City Council and gaining public and the government support.
Kayondo says KACITA now wants to engage in East and Central Africa. He says KACITA has got solid business skills and experience it wants to share with the presidents and the business managers of East and Central Africa.
He says the first goal of KACITA is to realign with the new East African Common Market President Museveni and other heads of East African States are going to sign on Friday November 20th, 2009.
