Uganda People News: Government changes Oting’s burial programme

The government has today changed the burial programme of Kony’s mother, Norah Onek Oting at the last hour.
Oting, the mother of the leader of the Lord’s Resistance Army rebels, Joseph Kony was supposed to be buried today in Agwengtina village, Gulu district.
Norah Onek Oting died on Tuesday night at Mulago National Referral Hospital after a long illness.
The government communicated to Gulu as the mourners were taking the body for burial that the arrangement had been changed to give Kony a chance to burry his mother on Tuesday.
Now the burial of late Oting will take place on Tuesday next week. The government says Kony is free to attend the burial.
The Minister for Information, Kabakumba Masitko says the government will give Kony security if he comes.
