The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has today beaten the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) candidate in Kasese District.

The FDC General Secretary for Kasese, Hezekia Baluku has won the NRM candidate Dragon Azalia as the chairperson of Bwesumbu Sub-county.

The newly established Bwesumbu is in Busongora North Constituency.

The Deputy Spokesperson of FDC, Toterebuka Bamwenda has told Ultimate Media that Baluku won the NRM candidate by simple majority of four votes.

Toterebuka says Baluku’s election victory is enough evidence to show that FDC will win 2011 national general elections.

The NRM has lost polls in Kasese barely a month after the central government recognized Prince Charles Wesley Mumberere as the king of Obusinga bwa Rwenzururu.
